Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Beach
A helicopter soaring above a popular California coastline unexpectedly started spinning wildly, finally descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Videos posted on social media show the chopper starting to spin over the shoreline then descending in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it becomes wedged amidst palms and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
Emergency responders said five people were taken to hospital comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were hurt. Information on their wounds were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
